MLB Trade Rumors: 2025 Top 5 All-Stars Who Could Be Traded

Everyone is having a grand ol' time at the MidSummer Classic, as MLB celebrates (most of) its best at the annual All-Star Game Tuesday night.

But for some of those players suiting up with their fellow All-Stars, they might be trying on some new threads within the next two weeks.

We have a look, with the help of Zachary D. Rymer of Bleacher Report, at the Top 5 likeliest All-Stars from this year's game who could be traded by the July 31st deadline.

1. Eugenio Suarez, 3B, Arizona Diamondbacks

As one of the top sluggers in baseball in 2025, heading into free agency after the season, Suarez has done wonders for his market value—both on a new contract at the end of the year, and as a red-hot trade candidate this month. With a whopping 31 home runs and an NL-leading 78 RBIs, Suarez could bring back a nice package for the Snakes, even as a two-month rental. We had a look at a proposed deal that could send him to the New York Yankees.

2. Ryan O'Hearn, DH, Baltimore Orioles

This is another name that has been high atop the trade candidates list this season. Although he's nowhere near the slugger that Suarez is, O'Hearn is having a career year with an .840 OPS, and teams are trying to land him. As Rymer notes, "He's a pending free agent who has 'sell high' written all over him."

3. Joe Ryan, RHP, Minnesota Twins

Still under team control for two more seasons, it would be a surprise to see the Twins move off of their ace, Ryan. But because of that control, they would bring in a huge haul for him on the trade market. He's sporting a 2.72 ERA with an 0.91 WHIP and a 121:23 strikeout to walk ratio on 109.1 innings. The 29-year-old is appearing in his first All-Star game. MLB Network's Jon Morosi says Ryan is being monitored by a number of teams.

4. Brandon Lowe, Tampa Bay Rays

His name has been mentioned as a potential trade candidate all year, and with the Rays on a 3-11 slump heading into the break, they might be considering selling, even though they're just one game back of a Wild Card spot. Lowe will be a little bit out of the Rays' salary comfort zone after this year, going into the final season of his deal with an $11.5 million team option for 2026.

He won't actually appear in the All-Star game, as he's currently on the IL.

5. Aroldis Chapman, Boston Red Sox

The BoSox are hotter than any team in baseball coming into the break, winners of 10 straight, and just three games back of top spot in the up-for-grabs AL East. Unless they plummet out of the race in the next two weeks, it would be tough for Boston to trade away their closer and survive the Fenway faithful's reaction.  The 37-year-old is having a Renaissance season, with 17 saves and a 1.18 ERA.
