Phillies Lose 2 More Regulars to Injured List
The Zack Wheeler season-ending blow was devastating to the Philadelphia Phillies pitching staff. But now, their everyday lineup is also dealt a tough break, as two regulars are hitting the IL, including three-time All-Star and elite leadoff man Trea Turner.
Rob Thomson said that Trea Turner has a Grade 1 strain. It’s less severe than his injury last season, which was Grade 2. The Phillies are hopeful he will be able to return before the postseason.

The good news is that it's only a Grade 1 hamstring strain for Turner, and therefore not season-ending. He should be back before the end of the month, in time for the playoffs.
“Actually,” manager Rob Thomson said, “it was better than what we expected.”
Turner is having his best season as a Phillie, leading the National League in hits (179) and batting average (.305). He's also stolen 36 bases, his highest total in seven years, while getting on base at a .356 clip. He has 15 homers and 94 runs scored.
Entire left side of Phillies infield heads to injured list
To add insult to injury, the entire left side of the Phillies' infield is heading to the IL, as third baseman Alec Bohm is also out with left shoulder pain due to a cyst. Thomson said he should be back after the minimum 10-day stay on the IL.

Bohm is not having a great season at the plate, slashing .272/.319/.384 on the season. It's been worse of late, with only a .518 OPS over his last 15 games.
