Breaking MLB Trade: Orioles' Cedric Mullins Dealt to NL East
In a major move just a couple of hours before the trade deadline, the Baltimore Orioles have dealt centerfielder Cedric Mullins to the New York Mets.
It's a big get for the Mets, who have been looking all season for a boost in center field.
Mullins isn't having his best offensive season, by any means, but he can run down a ball in center with the best of them.

Mullins, who had the Orioles' first ever 30-30 season in 2021 with 30 homers and 30 stolen bases, earning him All-Star honors that year, is batting .229 with a .738 OPS. But his 15 homers, 19 doubles and 49 RBIs are enough to make him a better-than-average offensive player with a 105 OPS+.
His range in CF is still well above average, in the 83rd percentile, and his speed is in the 80th percentile.
Mullins became a fan favorite in his seven years in Maryland.
In return, the O's get Mets prospects Raimon Gomez, Anthony Nunez and Chandler Marsh. Gomes, a right-handed pitcher, is the Mets 30th ranked prospect.
More to come...
