MLB Trade Rumors: Yankees & Marlins In Talks For Blockbuster Deal
The New York Yankees are working hard on this deadline day to try to land a top starter to add to the rotation. According to insider Jon Morosi, they're in deep talks with the Miami Marlins, and either one of their top available starting pitchers are on the table.
Sources: The Marlins and Yankees have had dialogue about either Sandy Alcántara or Edward Cabrera going to the Bronx.

Either Sandy Alcantara or Edward Cabrera would be significant additions for the Yanks, though the price the Fish have been asking for—Spencer Jones—might put the kibosh on a potential deal.
Jones has been scorching hot at Triple-A, with 13 homers and 25 RBIs in just 21 games, with a 1.399 OPS. He is the Yankees' No. 4 prospect.
The Fish had apparently set an insane price tag for Alcantara, and their ask of Jones as part of the return package would reflect that.
The former Cy Young winner, Alcantara has an ugly 6.36 ERA this season in his first year back from Tommy John surgery, but threw five shutout innings against St. Louis on Tuesday night, to give him two consecutive strong starts to head to the deadline.
Cabrera has been elite for a much longer period, having allowed more than two runs just once in his last 11 starts, with a 2.40 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in his last seven outings.
Talks continue, with the deadline set for 6:00pm Eastern Time.
