Padres Call Up Infielder Dominating the Minors

He's more than earned it.

The San Diego Padres have called up infielder Brandon Dixon from Triple-A El Paso.
The thirty-year-old has slashed a remarkable .374/.442/1.265 line, with 23 home runs, 74 RBIs, nine stolen bases, and 49 runs scored across 198 at-bats this season. Those are insane numbers.

Dixon is a former 3rd-round pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2013 MLB Draft.

He'll add some extra depth off the bench as the Padres look to secure a playoff berth, currently 85-68, one-and-a-half games up on the Philadelphia Phillies and three games up on the Milwaukee Brewers for the second NL Wild Card spot.
