Mariners Now Open To Trading Two Shocking Names By Monday
The Seattle Mariners are in the market for some hitting. And in a shocking revelation, insider Jeff Passan tells us that top starter George Kirby is one of the names they're listening on in trade talks.
Multiple teams have engaged the Seattle Mariners on a potential trade for right-hander George Kirby and get the sense he is available and could be moved before the Aug. 3 deadline, sources tell ESPN. Mariners have been listening on starters Emerson Hancock and Luis Castillo, too.

Fellow rotation mates Luis Castillo and rookie Emerson Hancock have also been 'out there' on the market for the right offer.
But the "right offer" for Kirby would have to be a massive return, as he has been one of the best and most consistent starters in the league over the past several seasons.
He has a career 3.65 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP, and has led the majors in fewest walks allowed for a starter a couple of times.
In another surprising development, top outfielder Randy Arozarena, a free agent after the season, is also apparently on the table in talks.

Arozarena, who has had some memorable playoff moments, has a 137 OPS+ this season, tops among American League outfielders. He's batting .280 with an .822 OPS, 13 homers and 20 stolen bases.
If the Mariners are hoping to make some noise in the postseason, trading Arozarena—pending free agent or not—sounds like a bad idea.
The M's, however, have been struggling lately, 2-8 in their last 10 games, and are now 3.0 games back of a Wild Card spot. They're obviously looking to shake things up.
