MLB Trade Rumors: Phillies Linked To Big Deals With Cubs & Angels
The Philadelphia Phillies are desperate for help in the outfield. Despite a small deal they pulled off with the Chicago White Sox this past week, they're looking to make a much more significant addition.
And it appears that the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Angels are squarely on their radar.

With the news that Adolis Garcia is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn lat, the Phils are eyeing the Cubs' Seiya Suzuki and the Angels' Jo Adell as trade targets, per Bob Nightengale.
Seiya Suzuki becomes surprise trade target
The Cubs have gone 10-22 (only thanks to a current 3-game win streak) over the past five weeks, dropping them to third place in the NL Central, and just barely in a tie for the last Wild Card spot. Suzuki is on an expiring contract, so he is definitely a trade candidate if the Cubs are forced to sell.
The Japanese outfielder is having an up-and-down season, with 10 homers and a .772 OPS, but also was forced to exit Saturday's game with knee soreness. He was batting .333 with three homers and a 1.094 OPS in his previous nine games. That followed a three-week slump that saw his batting average plummet from .321 to .234.
Phillies eyeing the Angels' Jo Adell
The Angels should be sellers this season. No different than any other recent season, except they don't always do the right thing. With one more year of control on slugging outfielder Adell, they might be able to bring back a pretty good haul from a team in need, like the Phillies.
Adell, coming off a 37-HR season last year, has seen his power dip a bit this season with 10 bombs thus far, and 39 RBIs. And as usual, his game also includes a ton of swing-and-miss.
But the Phils are desperate, as they're tied for second-last in the majors with just two home runs out of their center fielders this season. Adell can play center or right.
