LA Dodgers Re-Sign World Series Hero
He was a World Series hero not once, but twice in the ninth inning of Game 7 of the LA Dodgers stunning comeback win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Miguel Rojas has now re-signed to return to LA with a $5.5 million deal for 2026 in what he says will be his final season in the majors.

Rojas, 37, will be back for his 4th year with the Dodgers.
The light-hitting middle infielder hit a monumental home run in the top of the 9th of Game 7 to tie the game and save the Dodgers' season, with the Jays just two outs away from celebrating victory.

Then in the bottom of the 9th, with the winning run steaming for home from third base, he made the perfect throw to catcher Will Smith to cut down Isiah Kiner-Falefa by inches, to keep the Dodgers' hopes alive yet again and send the game to extra innings.

"I would have nightmares still (to this day) if I booted that ball or don't get that out at home plate." Instead, it's all felt like a bad dream for IKF and Blue Jays fans all over Canada that they somehow didn't win that game.
As for Rojas, he'll be going into his 13th MLB season, with a career average of .260 and a .675 OPS with 57 career regular-season home runs, and two in the playoffs. One of them will be forever remembered in Dodgers lore.
