The Washington Nationals have bolstered their pitching depth by signing right-handers Adrian Sampson and Parker Dunshee to minor league contracts. Both will report to Triple-A Rochester.

Nationals Add Adrian Sampson, Parker Dunshee for Depth

Sampson, 33, last appeared in the majors with the Chicago Cubs in 2022 and spent last season in Triple-A with the Texas Rangers.

He has 72 big league appearances under his belt, including 44 starts. Over his five-year career, Sampson holds a 4.43 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, with 219 strikeouts across 292.2 innings.

Dunshee, 30, made one relief outing with Atlanta in 2023 and was most recently pitching in the Mexican League. He was a seventh-round pick by the Oakland Athletics in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Neither pitcher is expected to join the MLB roster immediately, but both bring veteran experience to an organization still sorting through its rotation depth.
