Insider: Dodgers Now Poised For Another Blockbuster Trade

As if adding Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow wasn't enough, don't expect the Los Angeles Dodgers to rest on their laurels. According to former MLB GM, and MLB Network insider Jim Bowden, the Dodgers could be poised to pull off another blockbuster trade to acquire closer Emmanuel Clase from Cleveland.

"The Dodgers are pedal to the metal. It's not going to stop," says Bowden. "Don't be surprised if they make a trade for Emmanuel Clase from Cleveland. They are in this thing to win it at the highest level..."

"Their farm system is friggin' loaded. It's a top 5 farm system. They have so much to trade, and if you're a small or mid-market team, you want those controllable prospects. And the Dodgers just have so many it's almost comical. So they have enough to go trade for whatever they want. Clase would be a nice fit in the back of their bullpen."

Don't think Andrew Friedman and Dave Roberts are done... Their goal right now is World Championship."

Clase once again led the American League in saves last season, with 44. His dominance was down from the 2022 season, as he did blow 12 saves, and his ERA rose form 1.36 to 3.22, but he'd still be a tremendous add to the contender's bullpen.
