San Francisco Giants Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates

Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.

In this latest piece, we will be looking at the San Francisco Giants.

Joc Pederson: Joc Pederson is a pending UFA who the Giants will move if they are not a playoff team come deadline time. The outfielder should get plenty of interest, too, as he is coming off his second All-Star season and is a two-time World Series champion. Therefore, expect several teams to make a push for him as we get closer to the deadline.

Alex Wood: Alex Wood is another pending UFA who could be on the move before the deadline passes if the Giants find themselves out of the playoff race. He is coming off of a rough 2022 season but when noting that he is a former All-Star with plenty of experience, there should be a decent market for his services.

Jakob Junis: Jakob Junis has been in the rumor mill as of late, so it seems possible that the 6-foot-3 righty could be on the move at some point this season. Teams looking for pitching depth are likely to consider bringing him in, as he has experience as both a starter and reliever.
