New York Yankees Release Two Players

The New York Yankees have trimmed their roster slightly, releasing two players.

The Yankees have released reliever Tyler Danish.

Danish signed on with the Yankees back in December after making 32 appearances for the Boston Red Sox in 2022. For his career, he holds a 5.06 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, with 43 strikeouts across 53.1 innings of work.

The 28-year-old should be able to find a new opportunity relatively soon.

The Yankees have also released third baseman Kaleb Cowart.

Cowart hasn't made an appearance in the majors since the 2019 season.

For his minor-league career, Cowart holds a .268/.334/.412 triple-slash line, with 80 home runs, 536 RBIs, 124 stolen bases, and 508 runs scored across 946 games played.
