Seattle Mariners: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Seattle Mariners had a strong 2022 season that saw them make the playoffs for the first time in two decades. Needless to say, it was a major step in the right direction for them, but now they are looking to build off of it in 2023. As a result, they are ready to make more trades, and these two players have come up in talks.

Jarred Kelenic: Jarred Kelenic was once a top prospect for the Mariners, but he has struggled to find success in the majors. With Seattle now on the rise, they have made it known that they are open to trading Kelenic for a player that will help them now. Several rebuilders should consider pursuing the promising young outfielder because of it.

Taylor Trammell: Taylor Trammell is another former top prospect that has had some trouble becoming a full-time MLB player. Thus, it is not surprising to hear that the Mariners are also willing to trade him. When noting that the 25-year-old still has the potential to become an everyday player, expect teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, and Tampa Bay Rays to be calling.
