San Diego Padres Rumors: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The San Diego Padres have made it clear this offseason that the 2023 campaign is a World Series or bust season for them after making several moves. However, we could see them make some trades to their group before the start of the campaign to help improve their pitching. As a result, here are two trade candidates from San Diego.

Ha-Seong Kim: With the Padres signing Xander Bogaerts this offseason, it has made the Padres' infield a bit crowded for shortstop/third baseman Ha-Seong Kim. As a result, we should not be surprised if San Diego decides to move him to help improve their roster elsewhere. Teams around the league like the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and Atlanta Braves stand out as some possible landing spots for him.

Dylan Lesko: The Padres have become famous for trading away their top prospects at this point, so Dylan Lesko stands out as another trade candidate. The 2022 first-round pick has the tools to emerge as a full-time major league pitcher later down the road, so several rebuilders would love to get their hands on him. Thus, he is likely to be added in any trade centering around a star player for the Padres.
