Atlanta Braves Rumors: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Atlanta Braves have a solid roster heading into the 2023 season, but we should not rule out the possibility of them making more moves before Opening Day. As a result, here are two current trade candidates for them.

Ian Anderson: The Braves' strong pitching depth has forced Ian Anderson out of their rotation, so he stands out as a prime trade candidate. The 24-year-old is coming off a down season that saw him have a 10-6 record but also a very high 5.00 ERA. When noting that the 6-foot-3 righty is still young, there's no question that rebuilding teams would love to take a chance on him.

Bryce Elder: Elder is in a similar position to Anderson, as he does not have a guaranteed spot in their rotation. As a result, the 23-year-old could be added to a deal if the Braves are looking to add either a high-impact middle infielder or outfielder. Teams that stand out as possible landing spots for him include the Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, and Washington Nationals.
