New York Mets: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The New York Mets had a very busy offseason, but they still could make more moves before the start of the 2023 season. As a result, here are two trade candidates from their current roster.

David Peterson: After their offseason of spending, the Mets have one of the deepest rotations in the majors (at least on paper). As a result, David Peterson is one of the odd men out of it, and there have been rumblings that he is available. Teams looking to beef up the second half of their rotation before the regular season begins should certainly make a push for him.

Tyler Megill: Tyler Megill is another Mets pitcher who finds himself out of their rotation. As a result, they could look to move him if it helps improve their roster elsewhere. Some teams that could consider acquiring him include the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Baltimore Orioles.
