Minnesota Twins: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Minnesota Twins are aiming to get ahead of their AL Central rivals this season. As a result, they are open to making more moves before the start of the regular season. Two players are starting to become possible trade candidates for them as well. Let's go over them now.

Max Kepler: Max Kepler has been in the rumor mill for much of this offseason, but he remains a Twin at the time of this writing. However, that is expected to change - whether that is before Opening Day or before the 2023 MLB Trade Deadline. Kepler has shown in the past that he can be a high-impact power hitter in the majors, so there could be some interest in him if he gets things back on track in 2023.

Nick Gordon: The Twins' middle infield is a bit crowded, so there have been rumblings that they are open to moving Nick Gordon. At the time of this writing, Gordon is behind Jorge Polanco and Donovan Solano at second base on the depth chart, so they could move him to improve their roster elsewhere. In 136 games last season, he had nine home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .272 batting average.
