Houston Astros: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Houston Astros are the reigning World Series champions, but they also lost some notable pieces this offseason. As a result, they are active in the trade market, and two of their players are reportedly available because of it.

Yainer Diaz: Yainer Diaz is a player who the Astros are willing to part ways with if it helps improve their roster immediately. The 23-year-old catcher/first baseman is viewed as having a good amount of potential, but the Astros' deep roster has made it hard for him to become a full-time MLB player. Thus, if they can land a high-impact outfielder for him, we should not be surprised to see Diaz moved.

Joe Perez: Joe Perez is a prospect that the Astros are reportedly willing to include in a trade for a notable MLB-ready player. This ultimately makes sense, as Houston is all set at the third base position for a long time. Expect teams like the Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, and Arizona Diamondbacks to be some of the teams interested in Perez from here.
