Philadelphia Phillies: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Philadelphia Phillies are heading into the 2023 season with high expectations. As a result of this, they are reportedly open to making more moves if it help improve their roster for this season. Due to this, let's take a look at two of their current trade candidates with Opening Day right around the corner.

Johan Rojas: With the Phillies being in win-now mode, there have been rumblings that they are open to moving notable prospect Johan Rojas. With the Phillies' outfield depth being so strong right now, they are in a position where they could move Rojas if it helps improve another area like their pitching. When noting that he has great speed and is a reliable fielder, several rebuilding teams would love to grab him.

Mick Abel: Another prospect who could be on the move in the near future is Mick Abel. As noted above, the Phillies want to win now, and Abel is the kind of prospect that could help land them another big-name player. Look for plenty of selling teams to try to add him to their pitching depth.
