Atlanta Braves Outright Pitcher

The Atlanta Braves have outrighted pitcher Jackson Stephens to Triple-A.

Stephens was out of minor-league options, so his removal from the Braves' 40-man roster was needed. However, with this development, he will still be a part of their pitching depth moving forward and could find his way back into the majors if he impresses in Triple-A.

Stephens proved to be a solid reliever for the Braves last season, as he put together a 3-3 record and 3.69 ERA in 39 appearances. Although he was not dominant, he was reliable, so there is certainly a chance that we will see him back with the Braves at some point during the regular season. Yet, until then, he will be working on his craft in Triple-A from here.

In 75 career games split between the Cincinnati Reds and Braves, Stephens has a 7-7 record to go along with a 4.31 ERA and 101 strikeouts. Let's see if he gets to improve upon these career stats in the majors at some point this season.
