Oakland Athletics Rumors: Utilityman Being Linked to Giants

The Oakland Athletics have made it known that Tony Kemp is available for the right price. Although he is not a star, he could be a decent addition for a team to make before the regular season is officially here. Now, the San Francisco Giants are reportedly looking to acquire the 31-year-old.

The Giants are aiming to add a bit more depth at the second base position, and Kemp would of course provide them with just that. However, he also offers versatility, as he can play in the outfield if needed. Therefore, he could be a prime addition for the Giants, as they could use another utility player in 2023.

Kemp would also provide them with another veteran to work with, as he has seven MLB seasons on his resume. In 610 career MLB games, Kemp has 30 home runs, 157 RBIs, 38 stolen bases, and a .244 batting average. We will now need to wait and see if he ends up having the chance to improve these stats as a Giant from here.
