Tampa Bay Rays Release Multiple Players


The Tampa Bay Rays have trimmed their roster, releasing multiple players.

The Rays have released the following players:

  • RHP Humberto Jimenez
Jimenez holds a 4.41 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts over 49 innings of work in the minors. The twenty-one-year-old has made six starts, 21 relief appearances, converted two saves and holds a 1-4 record.
  • RHP Raimund Uzcategui
Uzcategui holds a 3.33 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts across 46 innings in the minors. The twenty-two-year-old has made 29 relief appearances, converted six saves and holds a 1-2 record.
  • RHP Jordy Andujar
Andujar holds a 4.93 ERA, 1.88 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts over 38.1 innings in the minors. The nineteen-year-old has made 25 relief appearances, converted two saves and holds a 2-1 record.
  • RHP Anthony Manriquez
Manriquez has an 8.71 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts over 20.2 innings in the minors. The eight-teen-year-old has made 15 relief appearances and holds an 0-3 record.
  • LHP Elvis Contreras
Contreras holds a solid 2.50 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 92 strikeouts across 86.1 innings in the minors. The twenty-two-year-old has made six starts, 20 relief appearances, converted one save and holds a 7-4 record.
  • LHP Sandy Eusebio
Eusebio holds a brutal 7.66 ERA, 2.33 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts over 22.1 innings of work in the minors. The twenty-one-year-old has made 16 relief appearances and holds a 3-2 record.
  • INF Daury Del Rosario
Del Rosario holds a .198/.352/.644 triple-slash line, with five home runs, 43 RBIs, 12 stolen bases and 62 runs scored over 349 at-bats in the minors. He is twenty years old.
