Atlanta Braves Sign Veteran Left-Handed Pitcher

Joining the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves have signed pitcher Brian Moran to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

Moran elected free agency from the Los Angeles Angels back in October.

The thirty-three-year-old spent the majority of last season with Triple-A Salt Lake, posting a 4.07 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts over 48.2 innings of work.

For his minor-league career, Moran holds a solid 3.14 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 666 strikeouts across 565 innings of work. The veteran pitcher has 442 minor league appearances under his belt.

The southpaw pitcher will attempt to win a spot in the Braves' Opening Day bullpen, but it won't be easy.
