Colorado Rockies Sign Pitcher

Headed to the mile-high city.

The Colorado Rockies have signed pitcher Josh Rogers to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Rogers made 16 appearances with the Washington Nationals this past season, recording a 5.13 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 12 strikeouts over 26.1 innings. He made three starts and 13 relief appearances.

For his four-year career, the twenty-eight-year-old holds a lackluster 5.42 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts across 88 innings. He's made 12 starts, 18 relief appearances and holds a 5-7 record.

Rogers will add some rotation depth to the Rockies, and will likely make the roster for Opening Day.
