Blue Jays Re-Sign Infielder; Received ''Strong Interest'' From Other Teams

Bringing him back.

The Toronto Blue Jays have re-signed infielder Vinny Capra to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

Capra spent the majority of last season at Triple-A Buffalo where he posted an impressive .301/.395/.850 triple-slash line, with five home runs, 29 RBIs, five stolen bases and 35 runs scored over 209 at-bats.

He was briefly brought up to make his major-league debut, going one-for-five at the plate with two runs scored.

The twenty-six-year-old reportedly received strong interest from other teams but ultimately decided that his best bet was to return to Toronto.

Capra is a former 20th-round pick by the Blue Jays in the 2018 MLB Draft.
