Seattle Mariners Bring Back Pitcher

The Seattle Mariners have signed Casey Sadler to a minor league contract.

The Mariners let go of Sadler at the beginning of the offseason, but now he is right back in Seattle. The 32-year-old reliever missed all of last season due to injury, and it was a true shame given his breakout campaign in 2021. In 42 games with Seattle that year, he may have had a 0-1 record, but his 0.67 ERA shows that he was completely dominant. Now, he will be hoping to replicate that with Seattle in 2023.

Sadler will first need to impress at Spring Training this season to earn a spot on their major league roster again. Time will tell what happens on that front, but overall, this is a solid low-risk, high-reward move from Seattle.
