MLB Rumors: New York Mets Still Pursuing Free-Agent Starter

According to Andy Martino, the New York Mets are still interested in signing Koudai Senga even after already bringing in Justin Verlander and Jose Quintana to beef up their rotation.

With this news, it is clear that the Mets are very much going all-in for next season and beyond. Keep in mind, they also added David Robertson and brought back Brandon Nimmo on an eight-year deal. Yet, even with all of their spending, they still want Senga - even if he will come at a very expensive price.

Senga is this offseason's top international free agent, and several teams want to sign him because of it. In 23 games last season with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, he had an 11-6 record and a 1.89 ERA.
