Braves Acquire Outfielder

He appeared in just 70 major-league games in the 2022 season.

The Atlanta Braves have acquired outfielder Sam Hilliard from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for pitcher Dylan Spain.
Hilliard appeared in 70 major-league games this past season, slashing a poor .184/.280/.264, with two home runs, 14 RBIs, five stolen bases and 26 runs scored for the Rockies. He spent the final month of the season in the minors.

Hilliard will try to compete for a major league roster spot during spring training but will likely spend most of the 2023 season with Triple-A Gwinnett.

The twenty-eight-year-old owns a career .212 batting average, with 29 home runs, 71 RBIs, 15 stolen bases and 84 runs scored across four seasons with the Rockies.
