Boston Red Sox Sign Outfielder

The Boston Red Sox have signed Narciso Crook to a minor league contract.

Crook spent most of the 2022 season with Triple-A Iowa, where he had 19 home runs, 67 RBIs, and a .260 batting average in 101 games. Overall, it was a solid year for the 27-year-old outfielder, and now he will be aiming to translate that kind of success at the plate in 2023.

In four games with the Chicago Cubs on the year, he had zero home runs, two RBIs, and a .250 batting average.

Crook will serve as a solid depth option for the Red Sox from here. Perhaps if he has a strong Spring Training he could even end up making their Opening Day roster. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front from here.
