Minnesota Twins Bring Back Infielder

Elliot Soto may have elected free agency, but he is heading right back to the Minnesota Twins on a new minor league deal.

Soto spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A St. Paul, where he had four home runs, 32 RBIs, and a .223 batting average. Overall, it was a year of mixed results for the 33-year-old infielder, but now he will have the chance to bounce for the Triple-A squad in 2023.

Soto will continue to serve as a decent depth option for the Twins, as his versatility always come in handy. His ability to play shortstop, second base, and third base could be exactly what leads him to land a call-up for Minnesota next season. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front.
