Royals Outright Pitcher

He's a former fourth-round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2018 MLB Draft.

The Kansas City Royals have sent pitcher Ryan Weiss outright to Triple-A Omaha.

Weiss was designated for assignment by the Royals and didn't receive a claim from a different team on waivers. 

The twenty-five year old held an ugly 6.93 ERA, 1.68 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts over 62.1 innings in the minors this season. In 47 appearances, he made one start and posted a 3-2 record. 

Weiss has yet to make his major league debut after being drafted over four years ago. That may come in the 2023 season.
