Orioles Outright Pitcher

He split time this season between the Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles have sent pitcher Louis Head outright to Triple-A Norfolk.
Head was designated for assignment earlier in the week but passed through waivers unclaimed.

The thirty-two-year-old registered a 6.28 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, and 26 strikeouts over 28.2 innings between the Marlins and Orioles this season.

Over his two-year career, Head has compiled a 4.10 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts over 63.2 innings with the Rays, Marlins, and Orioles. He'll remain with the Orioles as extra pitching depth.
