Dodgers Announce NLDS Game 1 Starter

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has made his decision on who will start Game 1 of the team's NLDS series against the San Diego Padres.

It will be Julio Urias on the mound for Tuesday's series opener.
A fairly easy decision here by Dave Roberts after Urias posted a fantastic 2.16 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 166 strikeouts over 175 innings this season. In 31 starts, he held an impressive 17-7 record.

He's almost guaranteed to finish in the top-three NL Cy Young Award voting for this season.

Urias is very familiar with the Padres this season, making four starts against them in the regular season. In those four starts, Urias has thrown 24 innings and allowed just four earned runs while striking out 18. The Dodgers have won all four games that he's started against the Padres this season.
