Blue Jays Should Get Two Key Players Back This Week

It sounds like the Toronto Blue Jays could get two important players back in the lineup this week against the Baltimore Orioles.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. did some on-field running drills and sprinting this weekend. Santiago Espinal also did some base running on the weekend.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said on Saturday that Espinal's recovery timeline has sped up and the club is hoping that he'll return sometime during the team's season-ending series early this week in Baltimore.

There isn't a definitive timeline for Gurriel Jr. to be activated from the injured list, but it sounds like there's also a chance he's back for the team's final regular-season series early this week against the Orioles.
