Yankees Promote 3rd-Ranked Prospect

This is also a fun one.

The New York Yankees are promoting prospect Oswald Peraza to the majors.
Peraza is one of the top prospects in the Yankees' farm system and the 53rd-ranked prospect in all of baseball.

In 98 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Peraza has hit a .259 batting average with a .329 on-base percentage. He has 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and 33 stolen bases.

Peraza got off to a terrible start over the first two months, but since June 25th, the twenty-two-year-old is batting .299 with 11 home runs, 18 stolen bases and a .908 OPS over 45 games.

Peraza likely won't get a ton of playing time down the stretch, but the power and speed combo will make him a valuable player off the bench for the Yankees.
