Twins Recall 10th-Ranked Prospect

The Minnesota Twins are calling up their 10th-ranked prospect.

The Twins have recalled Louie Varland from Triple-A St. Paul.
Varland got his first taste of major league action back when he was called up on September 07 to face the New York Yankees. In two starts, he posted a 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 10 strikeouts over 10.1 innings. 

In the minors this season, the twenty-four-year-old has posted a 3.06 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a strong 146 strikeouts over 126 innings. He's started 23 games and holds an 8-5 record.

He's scheduled to start against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.

Varland was a 15th-round pick by the Minnesota Twins in the 2019 MLB Draft.
