Seattle Mariners Release Infielder

Jake Lamb's time with the Seattle Mariners organization is over, as the club has released him.

Lamb was designated for assignment earlier this week, and with this development, it's clear that he has since cleared waivers. However, instead of keeping him around in their system, the Mariners are parting ways with the veteran.

Lamb has appeared in 41 games this season split between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Mariners, where he has three home runs, six RBIs, and a .216 batting average. Overall, the one-time All-Star has not been particularly effective, but he will now be aiming to find a new home before the season is over.
