Pirates Outright Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have sent pitcher Tyler Beede outright to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Beede was designated for assignment last week, but he passed through waivers unclaimed and will remain with the Pirates organization as extra pitching depth.

The right-handed pitcher is a former first-round pick, twice, and showed some potential with the San Francisco Giants but, ultimately, has not amounted to much at this stage in his career.

The twenty-nine-year-old has posted a 5.14 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, with just 39 strikeouts over 61 innings this season. In 31 games, he's started five and holds a 2-5 record.
