Marlins Recall Starter

The Miami Marlins have recalled starter Braxton Garrett from Triple-A Jacksonville. 
The left-handed pitcher is expected to replace the injured Trevor Rogers in the Marlins rotation. 

Garrett is scheduled to start against the Washington Nationals in Miami on Friday.

The twenty-five-year-old has registered a decent 3.68 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 75 strikeouts with just 19 walks over 73 innings this season. He's made 14 starts. 

In the minors this season, Garrett has posted a 3.41 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 34 strikeouts over 37 innings. He's started eight games. 

Garrett is the former seventh overall pick of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.
