Los Angeles Angels Outfielder Clears Waivers

The Los Angeles Angels will be keeping Ryan Aguilar as a part of their depth, as the outfielder has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake because of it.

Aguilar was designated for assignment earlier this week, but no teams ended up taking a flyer on the 28-year-old. Yet, he will have the opportunity to become a minor league free agent this offseason if the Angels do not place him back on the 40-man roster before the season is over. Therefore, his time with the Halos could be over shortly.

In seven games with the Angels this season, Aguilar went 3-for-22 at the plate, which equates to a .136 batting average. With numbers like these, it is clear that he struggled in the sport's most competitive league, but he did manage to muster up two RBIs regardless.
