Chicago Cubs Pitcher Done For Season

Chicago Cubs manager David Ross confirmed to reporters that Steven Brault will not return to the mound this season.

Brault has been dealing with a shoulder injury all season. On the year, he appeared in just nine games with the Cubs, but he was effective during them. He had a solid 3.00 ERA and certainly left a pretty good impression, but, unfortunately, that is where his stats will end in 2022.

Yet, with the Cubs being out of the playoff race, it makes sense for Brault to simply rest his shoulder for next season. He will be hoping to make serious progress with his shoulder injury during the offseason from here.
