Boston Red Sox Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Boston Red Sox have claimed Yu Chang off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays. 

Chang was designated for assignment by the Rays earlier this week, but he now has found a new home in the AL East with the Red Sox. Although Chang will be going from a playoff team to a non-playoff team, he has the potential to receive more playing with Boston, as they have a weaker roster.

Chang has split this season between the Cleveland Guardians, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Rays, where he has four home runs, 14 RBIs, and a .236 batting average in 58 games. Let's see how these numbers change with the Red Sox from here.
