Twins Designate Long Tenured Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have designated pitcher Tyler Duffey for assignment.

Duffey has been one of the Twins' better relievers over the years but has struggled this season, especially lately allowing seven runs over his last four innings of work.

On the season, Duffey owns a 4.91 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts across 44 innings.

If the thirty-one-year-old clears waivers, as is likely, given his $3.8 million salary, he has enough service time to be able to decline an outright assignment if he chooses to.
