Athletics Claim First Baseman Off Waiver; DFA Pitcher
The Oakland Athletics have claimed first baseman David MacKinnon off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.
Pitcher Wandisson Charles has been designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

MacKinnon has appeared in 16 games with the Angels this season, hitting just .189, with zero home runs and six RBIs. The twenty-seven-year-old is crushing at the minor league level, however, hitting .324/.429/.1.060, with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs.
Wandisson Charles has been designated for assignment. The right-handed pitcher has been brutal this year at Double-A Midland, throwing a 9.53 ERA, with 33 strikeouts across 34 innings.
