MLB Rumors: 4 Chicago Cubs Who Should Be Dealt Today (and Where)

What's going on with the Chicago Cubs? Expected to be big sellers once again at the trade deadline, they've still got four big trade pieces as of Tuesday morning, with the clock quickly ticking to 6PM Eastern.

Four players who should be on the move today:

Willson Contreras

The All-Star catcher's name has been dragged through the rumor mill for a year now, and Contreras himself, frankly, is tired of it, claiming "I just want this to be over." By 6pm ET on Tuesday it will be over, one way or another. The New York Mets, San Diego Padres, and Tampa Bay Rays seem to be the leading candidates, as per former MLB GM Jim Bowden.

Ian Happ

Although he still has another year of team control, Happ is having a very nice season, and the Cubs would do well dealing the 27-year-old now. Four teams are said to be in the running, with the Toronto Blue Jays one of the prime suitors.

David Robertson

One of the top relievers available on the market, Robertson has bounced back with a strong season at age 37, saving 14 games for the Cubs with a 2.23 ERA. Several teams are in the mix here, including the Blue Jays and the Mets.

Mychal Givens

Another high-leverage reliever, but one who doesn't get as much chatter as Robertson. The fireballing Givens notched 8 saves for the Cincinnati Reds last year, and this season has a couple for the Cubs, along with a 2.66 ERA and a strong 11.3 Ks per 9 innings.
