Mariners Activate Infielder; Option to Triple-A

The Seattle Mariners have activated infielder Evan White from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.

White will continue to get everyday playing time at the Triple-A level as the Mariners just don't have room for him on their roster right now.

The twenty-six-year-old has been out since spring training following surgery to address a sports hernia.

For his young career, White has played 84 games and slashed .165/.235/.308, with 10 home runs, 35 RBI and 27 runs scored.

In the minors this season White has been nothing special, hitting just .197, with four home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs scored over 71 at-bats. He is a former 1st-round pick of the Mariners back in 2017.

The Seattle Mariners are in the thick of the Wild Card race as the team tries to snap it's two-decade-long playoff drought.
