Diamondbacks Recall Outfielder Leading Triple-A in Home Runs

The Arizona Diamondbacks are recalling outfielder Stone Garrett from Triple-A Reno, per Robert Murray.

The twenty-six-year-old has been absolutely crushing the ball in the minors this season, hitting .275/.332/.568, with 28 home runs, 95 RBIs, 15 stolen bases and 73 runs scored across 389 at-bats.

Garrett's 28 home runs are tied for the most in all of Triple-A, and his 95 RBIs are 10 more than the next highest player.

The Diamondbacks are currently 53-63, 10.5 games out of a Wild Card spot, so it would appear they're not making the playoffs this season. It's good to see them giving some of their prospects a shot, although I'm sure many fans are disappointed it's not top-ranked prospect Corbin Carroll getting the call.

Regardless, it should be very interesting to see if Stone Garrett can continue to see success, even after transitioning to the highest level.
