Atlanta Braves Sign Infielder

The Atlanta Braves have signed Taylor Motter to a minor league contract.

Motter has played in two MLB games this season with the Cincinnati Reds. During them, he went 1-for-6 at the plate to go along with three strikeouts. He will now be aiming to earn himself an eventual call-up to the Braves' major league roster.

Motter isn't a bad player to have for depth at all. The 32-year-old is quite versatile, as he can play shortstop, second base, and the outfield. That is likely what made him an appealing target for the Braves, so it will be intriguing to see if a call-up occurs before the year is out.
