MLB Rumors: St. Louis Cardinals & Washington Nationals Talking Blockbuster

According to Jeff Passan, the Cardinals are now viewed as among the frontrunners to land Juan Soto from the Nationals.

The Cardinals have plenty of assets who they can use who are under team control. This, in turn, has made them an appealing trading partner for the rebuilding Nationals. Furthermore, with St. Louis in a win-now mode, it would be huge for them to add a superstar of Soto's ability. It would give them a far better chance of winning one more World Series with Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, and Adam Wainwright on their roster.

Everybody knows how excellent of a player Soto is. In 97 games this season, he has 20 home runs, 45 RBIS, and a .243 batting average. Although he hasn't hit for contact as well as other seasons, baseball fans know how dominant he is when he's hot. Let's see if the Cards can pry him away from DC from here.
