MLB Rumors: Seattle Mariners And Cincinnati Reds Talking Blockbuster

According to Jeff Passan, the Mariners are aggressively pursuing Luis Castillo from the Reds.

Castillo has been a big name in the rumor mill since last season, but a trade still hasn't come to fruition. Yet, with the deadline just a few days away, it seems that a move will finally occur. Teams from around the league are in on the sweepstakes, but the Mariners have him as their primary trade target.

Castillo is having an All-Star season. In 14 starts, he has a 4-4 record to go along with a 2.86 ERA. It will be interesting to see if the Mariners can bring him to Seattle from here.
